We thought it would be a nice idea to introduce you to our team – some of them you may already know, but it's always good to be able to put names to faces.
Dentists
Mrs S Talwar BDS, LDS RCPS, DGDPRCS
Mrs Talwar is the Principal of the practice. The current practice was established over 100 years ago by Mr Vine and Mrs Talwar took over the practice in 1977. Since then it has developed from a single-surgery to a six surgery practice.
She has been a Dentist for 35 years and has been through several postgraduate courses in different fields of dentistry since receiving her BDS degree.
Her emphasis on patient comfort as well as keeping up to date with the latest advancements in Dentistry, enable her to provide her patients with the best quality of care in the field. Dr Talwar has a wide range of experience in different areas of Dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and root canal treatment.
Dr Andrea Popescu Zahnarzt Halle-Wittenberg (Germany)
Qualified over 10 years ago and has spent most of her professional life at our practice. She has a genuine passion for her profession and has proven very popular with our patients.
Andrea has a special interest in endodontics and cosmetic dentistry including smile design and tooth whitening.
Fluent in German and Romanian she enjoys travelling, skydiving, music, dancing and keep fit.
Periodontist
Dr Angela Nketia BDS, MFDS RCS (Eng), MSc
After qualifying from Guy's dental hospital in 1998, Dr Nketia worked in general dental practice, district general and teaching hospitals. In 2003 Dr Nketia completed the Fellowship examinations to become a member of the Royal College of surgeons (England).
Dr Nketia also does some cosmetic dentistry, including crown and bridge work and veneers.
Orthodontists
Dr A Javed LDS RCS, FDS, FFD, D Orth RCS
Dr Javed has been with us for the last six years and brings wealth of experience to the Practice.
He is also an associate specialist at Central Middlesex hospital and St. Albans city Hospital and is on General Dental Council's specialist list in Oral surgery and Orthodontics.
His easy manner and skill have made him a popular choice for patients.
Dr Rajiv Khera Stat Exam, MSc (Lond), M Orth RCS (Edin)
Dr Khera qualified as a dentist in 1996 from India. Following experience, in general dental practice, as a House Officer in Prosthodontics and Registrar in Oral Pathology, Dr Khera passed his U.K Licenciate exams (Stautory exam) conducted by the General Dental Council in 2002.
Dr Khera trained in Orthodontics at Guy's King's and St Thomas' Dental Institute and graduated from the three years full-time training programme with his Masters in Science from the University of London and his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2004.
He is a member of British Orthodontic Society and has a keen interest in Adult Orthodontics and provides a variety of treatments with clear braces and Invisalign braces.
Practice Manager
Mona Mayo
Mona is the Practice Manager and receptionist and has been working with us since Mrs Talwar took over the practice. Mona is a huge asset to the practice. A lot of features of the practice you will see when you come in have been put in place by Mona. Always smiling even while she manages a lot of daily running of the practice, it is her responsibility to schedule, greet and check out patients. You can also hear her friendly voice when you call to the practice to schedule your appointment.
